About us
Where power system engineering meets the investor’s perspective
GridLink Energy Services is a specialist advisory and engineering firm supporting investors, developers, and owners and operators of energy assets. Our work covers the grid connection process, asset operation, and the technical assessment of projects and of the risks that affect the feasibility of an investment or the modernisation of existing facilities.
How we look at projects
Do you have a project or an operating asset (PV, wind, BESS or hybrid) and want to check its grid connection risks? After the first conversation we can tell you whether a deeper technical and formal analysis is worthwhile and where the key risks of the project are likely to sit.
At GridLink we combine grid engineering with business, legal and investment practice. This lets us assess projects not only through their technical parameters, but also through risks, costs, formal requirements and the consequences for the investment model.
We help investors judge whether a project has a realistic path to connection and operation, where its weak points are, and what actions can improve the odds of success.
We don’t write reports for the drawer. We deliver specific conclusions, scenarios and recommendations that support business decisions.
Founders
Two complementary perspectives: engineering and business
Igor Schwenk, EMBA
Co-founder, GridLink Energy Services
Igor combines legal, managerial and investment experience gained working with large organisations and capital groups. As an attorney and business advisor he has worked on projects where what mattered was not only the formal side, but also how decisions affect the structure of the organisation, management risk and the long-term value of the business.
He has held managerial roles in an international advisory organisation. He holds a law degree and an Executive MBA with distinction. At GridLink he brings the strategic, legal and investor perspective, helping translate technical conclusions into business decisions.
Michał Gajdzica, PhD, EMBA
Co-founder, GridLink Energy Services
Michał brings deep theoretical, practical, operational and engineering knowledge of power systems, protection, the operator grid connection process and the technical assessment of large-scale generation assets, including renewables. He specialises in analysing connection feasibility, identifying grid constraints and translating operators’ technical requirements into specific design recommendations and power evacuation configurations. He has taken generation facilities totalling more than 800 MVA through the operator connection process.
His work focuses on the real feasibility of an investment: from a practical engineering review of documentation and technical assumptions, through grid connection risk analysis, to mapping possible configurations of the asset with the operator’s grid and optimising the project. At GridLink he is responsible for the engineering and technical perspective. A lecturer and author of scientific and technical publications, research projects and technical studies. A member of qualification committees, cooperating with technical associations including the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP), Kraków Branch.
What sets us apart
We connect engineering with the investment decision
We don’t look at a project as technical documentation alone. We care about what each analysis means for the budget, the schedule, risk and the value of the project.
We speak plainly
If a project has weak points, we show them clearly. If the assumptions need to change, we point to the alternatives. If the risk is high, we don’t pretend it isn’t there.
We work towards decisions
Our work is meant to lead to a decision: continue, change, secure, redesign, negotiate, commission a further analysis — or stop the project before it generates bigger costs.
We support projects at every stage
From early site and project assessment, through connection conditions analysis and due diligence, to technical optimisation and owner’s support.
Let’s talk about your project
