ABOUT US

Who we are

Operational power-system engineering meets an investor's perspective

GridLink Energy Services is a specialist advisory and engineering firm supporting investors, developers and the owners and operators of energy assets. Our services cover the grid connection process, asset operation and the technical assessment of projects and risks that affect investment feasibility or the modernisation of existing facilities.

How we approach assets and projects

We were founded because more and more energy-asset projects hit critical barriers before construction even begins, in the analysis of location, grid connection conditions, grid constraints, schedule and operator requirements.

At GridLink we combine grid engineering with business, legal and investor practice. This lets us analyse projects not only through technical parameters but also through risks, costs, formal requirements and consequences for the investment model.

We help investors assess whether a project has a realistic connection and operation path, where its weak points lie, and which actions can improve the chances of the investment succeeding.

We don't produce reports for the drawer. We deliver concrete conclusions, action scenarios and recommendations that support business decisions.

Founders

Two complementary perspectives: technical and business-investment

Igor Schwenk

Igor Schwenk, EMBA

Co-founder, GridLink Energy Services

Igor combines legal, managerial and investor experience gained working with large organisations and capital groups. As an advocate and business adviser he has taken part in projects where what mattered was not only the formal aspects, but also the impact of decisions on organisational structure, management risk and long-term business value.

He has held managerial positions in an international advisory organisation. He holds a law degree and an Executive MBA with distinction. At GridLink he brings a strategic, legal and investor perspective, helping translate technical conclusions into business decisions.

Michał Gajdzica

Dr. Eng. Michał Gajdzica, EMBA

Co-founder, GridLink Energy Services

Michał brings deep theoretical, practical, operational and engineering knowledge in power systems, protection, the grid connection process and the technical assessment of projects involving high-power generation assets, including renewable assets. He specialises in analysing connection feasibility, identifying grid constraints and translating operators' technical requirements into specific design recommendations and power-evacuation scheme configurations. He has experience connecting generation facilities totalling over 800 MVA to the operator's grid.

His work focuses on the real feasibility of investments: from the engineering and practical assessment of documentation and technical assumptions, through the analysis of connection risks, to identifying possible scenarios for configuring the asset with the operator's grid and thereby optimising the project. At GridLink he is responsible for the engineering and technical perspective. A lecturer and author of scientific and technical publications and papers. Author of research projects and technical studies. A member of qualification boards, cooperating with technical associations including the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP), Kraków Branch.

What sets us apart

We connect engineering with the investment decision

We don't look at a project purely as technical documentation. We are equally interested in what a given analysis means for the budget, schedule, risk and value of the project.

We speak plainly

If a project has weak points, we show them clearly. If it requires a change of assumptions, we point to the possible alternatives. If the risk is high, we don't pretend it isn't there.

We are practical

Our work is meant to lead to a decision: continue, change, secure, redesign, negotiate, commission further analysis or stop the project before it generates greater costs.

We support at every stage

From the early assessment of location and project, through the analysis of connection conditions and due diligence, to technical optimisation and support for the asset owner

Let's talk about your project

Do you have a project or generation asset (including PV, wind, BESS or hybrid) and want to check its connection risks? After the first conversation we can already tell whether an in-depth technical and formal analysis is worthwhile and where the project's key risks may lie.
